Cycle for Palestine
We’re cycling a bit over double the length of Gaza - 55 miles from London to Brighton - to raise funds for vital organisations supporting Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Our ride departs from the Houses of Parliament, home to one of just 46 UN member states who don’t recognise Palestine. (146 do).
As the title of Omar El Akkad’s book states, “One Day Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This.” We are witnessing a generation-defining genocide, fuelled by islamophobia and wilful ignorance - with our own government not just complicit, but active participants. Under our current Labour government between October-December 2024 $160 million was sent to Israel to buy arms. This is more than the Conservative government sent in their entire 4 years in power prior.
Unlike genocides of the past, this invasion is in full view. Through social media, technology, and brave journalism, the voices of Gaza and the West Bank are being heard, enabling us to make active and informed decisions.
Please join and fundraise with us or donate generously. All funds will be directed to the following community and local organisations: The Zaynab Project, The Sameer Project - South Campaignm, and Yahya & Friends Mutual Aid
The situation is constantly evolving, if anyone has further insight for organisations, please get in touch!
